About Me

BEING A THERAPIST HAS BEEN A CALLING FOR ME, AND I HAVE A DEEP LOVE AND PASSION FOR THE WORK. THIS PROFESSION HAS ALLOWED ME TO JOIN WITH MY CLIENTS IN THEIR HEALING JOURNEYS as they release BURDENS AND GROW INTO LIVES THAT FULLY EMBODY WHO THEY REALLY ARE.

I did not expect to take this path. Before becoming a therapist, I spent time working and volunteering in several different industries, including community development, video production, education, and the corporate world. I have lived in Africa, South America, Europe, and several different cities and regions in the United States. This varied experience helps me to approach therapeutic work with a well-rounded perspective. I find that I can relate and connect well with people from a multitude of backgrounds.

My therapeutic experience and expertise include trauma recovery, anxiety, self-esteem, depression, and struggles in relationships. I have masters' degrees in Social Work and Public Administration from Columbia University, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Colorado. I am also a certified Reiki Master. My work as a therapist has included time in community mental health agencies, courthouses, street outreach, social enterprises, research projects, and community empowerment programs.

On a more personal note, my favorite places to be are in the kitchen cooking for my friends and family, on the couch engrossed in a book, surrounded by nature on a hike, or in a car or bus watching the world around me when I arrive somewhere new.
